About Feedback
Feedback Group comprises Feedback Instruments Limited, with headquarters in the South of England, Feedback manufacturing based near Cologne, Germany, and Feedback Incorporated in North Carolina, USA. Feedback has been a key player in electrical engineering teaching equipment in more than 100 Countries since 1958.
In 2014, we combine our reputation for innovative equipment design supported by excellent teaching material written by British academics with German manufacturing excellence. Many product designs originate from universities and colleges around the World.
In addition to a comprehensive range of hardware equipment and software, Feedback’s services have historically extended from manufacturing and supplying stand-alone items of training equipment to consultancy for turn-key projects. Our reputation is founded on a team of experienced specialists in software and hardware development, production and marketing – all guided by one strategic aim: “the application of current technology to provide a better training experience”.
Our products are supplied with a 2 year manufacturer’s warranty, after-sales service being provided in the first instance by our in-Country agents in more than 80 Countries and North Carolina office for the US market supported by a dedicated service team based at our HQ in England. We also provide an installation, commissioning & training service.
With products sold into more than 100 countries, Feedback is regarded as a premier supplier of reliable, high quality and competitively priced products. The Feedback product range includes equipment to cover the following, many products being supported by Espial software:
► Electricity & Electronics

Control & Instrumentation
Control engineering enables engineers to use mathematical models to predict, understand and ultimately create systems which will follow precise tasks or operations according to a command or feedback. Essentially it’s what allows machines to operate independently and without control engineering, machines would need constant human intervention. Control engineering essentially allows machines to operate independently; without it, machines would need constant human intervention, whether it be an aircraft or a manufacturing plant.
Programmable Logic Controllers
Since its invention for the automotive industry, the PLC has become increasingly important in the control of machinery. By using software that allows the revision of software programmes rather than completely rewiring control relays, it has made the manufacturing industry much more efficient. Feedback’s wide range of PLCs covers a variety of techniques and disciplines, suitable for technicians and engineers alike, and is supported by comprehensive teaching manuals.
Pneumatics & Hydraulics
In the manufacturing industry, air and fluid power is extensively applied where the power is used to automate processes. Feedbacks wide range of Pneumatic and Hydraulic system trainers cover the many techniques used in industrial systems, manufacturing and in component handling. The range has been conceived for the training of technicians, engineers and maintenance staff that require knowledge of the many technical disciplines applied in todays manufacturing industries. Armed with this knowledge technical staff are able to cope with the wide variety of problems that can arise with regularity in the industrial work place.
ESPIAL Software
Espial unique interactive teaching Software is Feedbacks continuously evolving software package that is used to develop the Espial Courseware.
Espial Courseware presents on-screen assignments that guide the student through the practical exercises and provide the theory for the subject being studied. The software also provides a PC based instrument toolbox that is made available for specific products which need the use of measuring instruments, such as an oscilloscope, digital voltmeter, frequency meter and spectrum analyser. The instruments toolbox can be launched by the student to do so from the course instructions.Electrical Power & Machines
The generation and distribution of Electricity is fundamental to everyday life throughout the world. This versatile range of equipment enables students at all levels to gain a hands on understanding of the how and why as to the use of different types of machines and generator in various applications. Conventional instrumentation is important in many applications, but the application of virtual PC based, instrumentation enhances the learning process and enables students to see, make calculations and plot characteristics effectively and efficiently.
Telecommunications
Telecommunications is one of the worlds fastest growing industries and world-wide communication of voice, picture and data is now common place.
The Feedback range of Telecommunications training equipment has been designed to provide a modern approach to training. We believe the principle that students of engineering and technology should take a hands-on approach, and within the range we offer hardware and software that can be used in conjunction with conventional test and measurement equipment.Electricity & Electronics
Electricity and Electronics is a primary requirement in all branches of engineering and education. A challenging and interesting medium is required to hold the attention of students in such a multi-discipline area of study. The wide range of work boards available from Feedback meets the majority of needs in academic, vocational and industrial training establishments, and provide a hands-on approach. Hardware is supported by comprehensive teaching manuals and in many cases, detailed Espial Software for computer assisted learning is available.
Process Control
Process Control applies the principles of automatic control to a physical process. Many industrial activities rely on it in areas as diverse as mining and petrol refining to pharmaceuticals and semiconductor production. Feedback process control products, address advanced control theory, with ‘hands – on’ learning so students are equipped with the knowledge and confidence to work in a wide variety of industrial systems. Students will become familiar with designing and maintaining systems, such as industrial process controllers, current loops, PLCs, sensors and computer control.
Refrigeration
More and more countries are using Air Conditioning in their offices, homes and cars. Refrigeration systems, for example, keep food products fresh and computer rooms operable, are now in everyday use around the world. The importance of these systems and their increasing use means that there is a growing requirement to train Engineers and Technicians on the operation and maintenance of associated products. Feedback’s wide range of refrigeration equipment covers a variety of techniques and disciplines, suitable for technicians and engineers alike. They provide a hands on approach, whilst showing the fundamentals of refrigeration principles.
